With panoramic views across the beautiful city of Xiamen, Waldorf Astoria opened as the latest and brightest in the city’s luxury hospitality offerings. Set in the centre of the commercial district, adjacent to the tranquil Lianhua Park, the hotel boasts facilties to match is enviable location.
A Destination for Guests & Visitors
Thirty30 was enlisted by the hotel developers and owners to lead the naming and brand identity concepts for the hotel’s multiple food and beverage outlets. Offering a variety of authentic Chinese and international cuisines, the project required a sophisticated and sensitive balance to deliver identities that elevated the outlet concepts and attracted both in-house guests and visitors to enjoy the on-site offerings.
The food and beverage options spanned immersive private fine dining, contemporary Fujian cuisine, afternoon tea at the iconic Peacock Alley, rare whisky in the refined bar , light bites at the courtyard café and contemporary, European brasserie fare.
The Outlets
Offering a unique, immersive, Chiu Chow experience, The Chef’s Table 雅宴 is an ultra-exclusive dining experience. Menus are customised for each guest and dishes prepared in the show kitchen. Our brand identity emphasised this environment as the opportunity for guests to appreciate true culinary artistry and elevated the chef to the status of artist.
At Hokklo 鲜承, contemporary Fujian food is served in a market-to-table format. The restaurant name refers to the sub-group of Han Chinese who originate in Fujian province and speak Hokkien. The identity emphasises this group’s reputation for prioritising fresh seafood and mountain grown vegetables.
Situated on the first floor, Brasserie One 汇壹 is a chic, French inspired dining setting serving exquisite European brasserie style dishes. The identity positions Brasserie One 汇壹 as amongst the city’s most desirable European eating destinations.
Lobby lounge Trellis 磐腾 serves seasonal teas, gourmet bites, fresh pastries and dim sum. The name and identity create an auspicious environment, denoting prosperity and growth for both the hotel and its guests.
Imagined as a private club for entrepreneurs, business leaders and Xiamen’s high society, 1387 offers classic cocktails, fine wines and rare whisky. Named after the year the city was first settled as Xiamen, inspired by the origin of its story as a maritime hub during the silk road era.
