A Cultural Institution

Le French May Arts Festival is one of Asia’s longest running and well attended cultural events. The East-meets-West festival facilitates cultural exchange on a grand scale and includes world class arts and cultural activations through music, performing arts, gastronomy and cinema.

Reflections of Time

To celebrate the festival’s Silver Jubilee, Thirty30 was commissioned to create an iconic identity to anchor the event and educate the audience about the landmark 25th year edition. Inspired by traditional Chinese and French design motifs, our 25th edition identity was a celebration of reflection, partnership and a nod to cultural collaboration.

Links between French and Chinese culture date back as far as the 17th Century and our festival identity emphasised the longevity of the relationship. These two cultural giants may be separated by a hemisphere but at Le French May they find a place to reflect on each other’s cultural contributions.
